I was wondering if I could take out a basic sim only contract and also an Apple Watch with it? I already have an iPhone 7 Plus.

Hi @Noodles42

A sim only contract is the sim card and a bundle of allowances for a monthly payment.

Cheap sim-only-deals.

Are you looking at buying an Apple Watch and using onenumber.

There are options to choose from , see the below link.

Get the Apple Watch you want, at the price you choose.

There is further information on Vodafone's support pages.

I would also suggest to pop into a Vodafone Highstreet Store or contact Vodafone Customer services on 191, 0333 3040191,  Live Chat to ask what options would tick your wants and needs boxes and get the right deal your wanting..

The Vodafone Social Media Team's can advise too via Social Media Team's Link.

Basic Plans are just that Basic @Noodles42  UK minutes, texts and data nothing else, you would need to be on one of the SIM only tariff here: SIM only as the watch would be sharing the allowance of the main number you would probably need a plan with a generous data allowance.

You would also need to add One Number to your plan @Noodles42 here:  One Number

check if you number is eligible here: One Number eligibility

I have a basic SIM only plan (12GB data, unlimited minutes & Texts)...

I just entered my number into the eligibility checker that AnnS linked to and it says i'm eligible:

Thanks. I was looking at the 12gb basic sim so that’s helpful.
I can’t check the number as I haven’t taken the plan out yet so I’m going to pop into a store today.

My number was ported in to Pay Go and later moved over from Pay Go to Pay Monthly (current plan).

I was under the impression that One Number wasn't available on the Basic plans but the eligibility checker says otherwise. I'm not surprised though, it's common place for Vodafone to say one thing on one page and something completely different on the next page! I'm betting you get told that One Number isn't available on the Basic plans when you go in-store and they try to upsell you. 😐

You have a 14 day cooling off period so you can always cancel if need be. 👍

Hi @Noodles42! I've done some digging and OneNumber is compatible with all Pay Monthly plans, excluding the following:

  • Basic plans
  • One Net
  • Business
  • Red Leader

You'll need to purchase a Pay Monthly SIM only plan to add One Number to this 🙂
