Call usage not reflecting reality?

Anyone else seeing issues withe their call usage online not being accurate. I've noticed it for a few months now.

E.g. A call made yesterday at 14:59 for 59 minutes shows up as made at 15:59 for 30 mins.

Ok, it's all inclusive so no costs but it does make you wonder what else they could be getting wrong if there are chargeable calls made. I could understand if the time was an hour behind and all logging to GMT, but not to be an hour ahead, when we're in BST.

@chistery This is strange to say the least ðŸ¤” We'd love to take a closer look into this and identify why the call time and duration differs to online account's itemised usage.

Please can you send us your details across following the instructions set out in this private message.

Once you submit your details, you'll receive an automated response. Please reply to this message with an attachment showing your call log including the call in question.

Is this for a call made while Roaming? or were you near a border and picked up an European Network?

There is an issue with the Call Timings for Roaming where it add the Time Difference to the call when trying to work out local time.

Calls are made from the UK, some calls are also missing from the list.

I've only seen this problem on my new Vodafone number, my old one was ok, but now I'm not using it of course.

Calls are also missing from the online list and from my bill pdf

E..g on the 29th May I made 5 calls to one number, but it only lists two.

29 May 18 - 15:59Voice4420xxxxxxxx00:16:52£0.00
29 May 18 - 12:59Voice4420xxxxxxxx00:11:55£0.00

My phone shows calls lasting 24, 26, 1, 48 and 39 minutes - nowhere near the call durations of the two listed.

It shows a call at 14:59 for 39 minutes and 11:59 for 24 minutes.

When calls do appear though, they are always an hour out. I know the timestamp on my phone is correct as I know I had meetings I dialled into at that time.

I'll log a ticket over the weekend when I have some time.

Just as an update to close this one off, Vodafone don't know why the call times are showing as BST+1 online, and a lot of inclusive calls are missing, but as I have unlimited calls, I should leave it and get in touch if it starts affecting my bill.

I wonder where the relevant server is? Presumably it keeps local time rather than UK time.

The discrepancy over times can affect you if you need to prove when you paid for your car parking! Tracking a text conversation via usage can produce strange results, like answers arriving 59 minutes ahead of the questions - I've always hoped I don't suddenly have an urgent need to prove the true sequence!

I've now seen other people have the problem with the time , so it does look like Vodafone have a misconfigured server somewhere, probably offsetting the time wrong when it's already adjusted to BST, moving it to CEST, which isn't very useful for a UK company!

This is happening to me too.I have received my bill and there is an hours discrepancy. I am on a bundle so can have weekends and after 7 free and only ring out after 7pm.My bill is saying my calls are at 6pm which I know is wrong. I have tried sorting this out but didn't get anywhere .
