Hi, my Sure Signal has recently stopped working and we've been forced onto WiFi calling. We're in a poor signal area (hence why we had a Sure Signal) so this is a predominant mode. I have 300 Mbps down and 100Mbps up fibre connection with only 1 other PC connected via Ethernet to the router. Yet our phones (my wife and I) the only 2 devices via WiFi iphones keep dropping connection and have garbled connections. IIt isn't congestion on the network as there is only the 2 of us on this WiFi connection, nor packet losses as my gaming ping is circa 1 to 10mS. Will Vodafone reintroduce a new version of the sure signal, 4G perhaps? Or will we both have to go to another provider?

Have you tried to put the phone in flight mode and turn on wifi, and then trying wifi calling?
Not saying it's a permanent solution, just worth a try to see if it is stable when on a call.

I haven't (thanks for taking the time to reply) - unsure how this would help as I'm just stopping the WiFi connection then restarting, unless the call stays on the weak 4G signal (1 bar) which maybe enough for a reliable call. I think its flipping between WiFi and 4G perhaps every second or so causing dropped packets and jitter. Only way to find out would be for Vodafone to do a packet analysis and I'm unsure they'd be that interested. We have no problems with WhatsApp calls of FaceTime so suspect it's a Vodafone algorithm issue.

By putting your phone in flight mode, and then turning on wifi, it ensures any call you then make is only over wifi. It can't fail back to 4G at all as there's no cellular signal.

Ok, I see the point now, but quite a faff having to remember to turn cellular on when you leave the house. I appreciate the point, but would rather Vodafone would sort it out, especially as I’ve lost a reliable method with the sure signal which I paid quite a lot for the hardware and they’ve just left their customers in the lurch.

I'm only suggesting you try it in an attempt to narrow down the issue, not do it all the time.
