Calls going straight to voicemail

Hi guys,

i nedd some help here please.

I ported my number over from TalkTalk couple of weeks ago, that all went fine. The issue now is that whenever i ring my mum from my personal phone, the call goes straight to VM.

So when i ring from my personal phone call goes to TalkTalk VM even though she is with plusnet. When i ring her from my work supplied mobile phone. There is no issue and the phone actually rings.

Any advice from anyone?

@Oowaise Is this issue only consistent when calling your mother's number? Or are you facing the same issue when calling more than one number?

Hi

Just my mum's number.

I have checked her phone and my number is not blocked or anything.

She was with TalkTalk previously...but instead of the call going to Plusnet VM....it's going to Talk alk  VM.

Hi @Oowaise

If the call is going to your Mother's previous providers voicemail box, the error will be at your Mothers end and this is going to mean your Mother having to take this up with Plusnet and ask them to look into the voicemail problem.

It may be an error with the voicemail part of your Mother's number port from TalkMobile, Plusnet will be able to get this sorted out for your Mother and check her account.

To be fair, it sounds like a Split port. So callers from a certain network are still being routed to the old sim. If that's not in the phone, it goes to VM.

She needs to contact her new provider and report the issue and perhaps tell them it's an issue with the number port.

Don't forget to check if the physical Ring / Silent / Active button is set to Silent mode on the iPhone.
