Can I keep the old number that upgraded from pay as you go?

Recently I'm considering upgrading from pay as you go to pay monthly.

Looks like I would acquire a new SIM card. Would my number be changed after upgrading as well?

I want to keep the old number with new plan.

You should be able to continue using the same SIM card @SquallLiu , the number just changes to pay monthly.
