Cannot log in due to broken phone

I have smashed my phone, and wanted to log in to my account to see if I could get a new one.

However, it seems I am unable to do this, as I can't receive the security code I need to log in via SMS. I don't have another phone I can use to put my sim into.

The Tobi chatbot said it would open a secure pop up for me to do this via my password, but the pop up doesn't appear. I then asked to speak to a human via the chat, and was told there was no way to log in other than by receiving an SMS.

Is there really no way to log in to my account if I can't receive an SMS? If so, that seems crazy, as it means I will need to buy a new phone elsewhere, rather than just getting a new device plan. with Vodafone, which is what I'm trying to do.

Hi @alousana -  I can understand how important it is, for you to get a replacement phone as soon as possible. Before an upgrade can be processed, we'd need to text your number, the security code or call you on your mobile number. This is for security reasons and to help protect customer accounts, due to fraudulent activity. My team over on Social Media, can pass security a different way and then check your eligibility to upgrade. Your local Vodafone store, could then go through your options, if you're able to go into a store with ID.
