Defaulted Account - Impacting Mortgage Application

Hi,

While applying for a mortgage my credit check has came back with a defaulted account form 2017 - These accounts are really old and I wasn't aware they had defaulted (thought everything was square and paid for!).  have a few dribs and drabs of paperwork left from these accounts - basically just the phone numbers and account number.
I'd like  to get in contact with someone to check the status of the defaulted account and clear it if required and/or get written confirmation that it's resolved.

If a Vodafone could get in contact that would be great; getting a bit anxious due to the issues this causing for my mortgage applcation.

Cheers,

I'd really lie

There's no account access via the forum.   However, if you drop a note to the Social Media team on Facebook or Twitter, they'll be able to get this escalated to Credit File Support.   That department will have access to the full history of the account and be able to get the matter resolved for you.   If they can't remove the default, you may still be able to pay the balance and get the flag changed to Settled.   Credit files can take a while to update so, whatever the outcome, it would be worth asking them to confirm to you in writing so that you have something to show potential lenders.

I've now managed to settle my defaulted account with Vodafone - however having this infor updated in my credit file is proving more difficult.

I have contacted the credit agencies to have this updated but they need this data from the lender in order to update.  I was told my a member of the credit team the would personally e-mail me confirmation (at least I could pass this on to the mortgage underwriter) however never received an e-mail.

I have  reference number from the settlement transaction; what do I need to do for the credit team at Vodafone to send the relevant data to the credit agencies sooner rather than later?

It can take a while for credit files to be updated but, if you were promised an email, you should have received it - I presume you've checked your spam?

Get back onto the Social Media team and see if they can chase this up for you.  It would also be worth checking that the Credit File people have your correct email address.
