Getting no service

I ported my number from EE to Vodafone yesterday now I have no service, Yesterday the number switched it was working fine to receive and make calls/texts now today I have no service I am currently on hold to 0333 304 0400 and have been for exactly an hour, is this a normal thing for the sim to not work after porting or has anyone else experienced this.

Hey @Jackb34 I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing a delay in us answering your call. You may lose service for a short period of time when your number moves from one network to another. This can usually be kept to a minimum by refreshing your connection to our network by restarting your phone.
