Hello all!
first thing I need to mention - I don't personally do pay monthly contracts, so I am unsure of the process.
Two years ago on Black Friday, my friend was trying to claim a black Friday contract deal on the iPhone 11. He accidentally typed his billing information wrong and got declined.
Since the deal was running out, I stepped in and signed up for him.
When the account was made under my name, we swapped the details to his card so now he gets charged.
HOWEVER, the contract is now ending in a few weeks - since I own the account I have to cancel it.
How do I go about cancelling this? And will I get charged for doing it too early? Could I cancel today and it end at the right time?
And how will he go about using the same number for a new contract - but not under my name?
The most annoying problem is I have to keep asking him for the details to log in since it requires mobile verification..
Many thanks - Gavin

Hey @Evogg, If your friend is looking to keep the number and stay with Vodafone, you can just transfer the existing account into his name. To do this, you'll need complete a Transfer of Ownership form. Once this has been completed and the account transferred into your friends name, the account will be legally theirs.
If he's looking to move the number to another provider, advise him to text 'PAC' to 65075. He'll need to give the code we send him to his new provider and the account will be cancelled when they take control of the number.
If he transfers the number to his new provider, or closes the account before the end of the commitment, it will be subject to an early termination fee. You can check when your commitment ends through the My Vodafone app, by reaching out to us online, or calling 191 from any Vodafone number.
