Invalid number

Hi,

I am trying to call my wife who is visiting the Netherlands, but I am getting "Invalid number" and the call does not go through.

We are both on Vodafone and have been for many years.

I would appreciate some help with getting this sorted, so that I can talk to my wife.

Just to eliminate @rajsaravana your Wife would be roaming on Vodafone Netherlands and you are dropping the first 0 and using the UK dialing code +44.

Yes, I am ringing her with the international code +44 and her mobile number without the 0

It could be an issue with tbe cells masts in that country too.

As an interim perhaps try through WhatsApp or Facebook to ring and call her which hopefully will work @rajsaravana

Thank you very much for your suggestion.

I am an old "luddite" and do not have any social media - no Whatsapp or facebook!

She seems to be receiving my SMS texts and she can call me from there.

We are trying to preserve communication in this way for now, but she is there for 2 weeks and I would like to find a solution for this "Invalid number" response.

I certainly appreciate how important it is to keep in communication.

Unfortunately sometimes roaming can present it's various niggles.

I understand some don't use or have discovered various social media apps but they do have their positives especially with communication when other avenues are failing.

Who knows you may find them easier to navigate than first expected  !

I appreciate that there are some advantages to social media - just not mustered up the courage needed to navigate these platforms.

I will try and see what can be done - if not, maybe it will be time for me to sign up to one of these social media platforms.
