Hi
I am due a free upgrade on 27th Jan this year. I am currently on the plan 'Red 20GB.
I am keen to see what my options are come Jan 27th in the upgrade, however it looks as though you cannot see the options yet unless you commit to an early upgrade.
Is there a way to identify what my options will be come Jan 27th?
I currently have an Iphone SE and would be keen to have a phone of a similar size; any advice appreciated (i'm keen to stay with Apple).
Many thanks

Tariffs and promotions can change quite quickly @collinsc
I'd suggest to call 191 and choose the Thinking of Leaving option which will take you through to the Retentions Department who'll offer the best deals of the time when your ready.
Moving to sim only, payg or upgrading through an independent such as Carphone Warehouse can bring alternative deals and sometimes more choice in regards to evo plans and phone models.
Hope that helps.

Good idea re retentions - thanks!

The Retentions Department can typically offer sweeter deals than the front line agents , so yes it's most definitely worth a punt.

Retentions are good for SIM only @collinsc but not sure about the Evo contracts where you will have a separate device and airtime contract. You will also be hard credit checked for the device part of the contract and this will be marked on your credit file as a loan.
You are also looking at Apple, with the demand strong, it would be likely Vodafone would offer any discount.
To save money go the third party route but take out a new number not an upgrade and move the number you are using to the new contract. If you use the forum search facility, there are examples on how is is done on purchases through a third party.

Disposable income allowing it's possibly more cost effective in the long term to buy sim free from Apple and go sim only @collinsc
However going through Customer Retentions is a recognised way to get a better deal via Vodafone whether it's an upgrade or Sim Only.
A forum search I'm sure would support this avenue.
They want to retain you at the end of the day so will try their best.

I have just done a search of the forum on the keywords > Retentions > iphone and not very much comes up and they are old threads.
You definitely won't achieve anything in a way of a discount for an Apple product going that route especially now with the Evo Plans through Vodafone.
