New Pay Monthly Sim No Temporary Number

I have recieved a new pay monthly sim todqy (I moved from O2) but there is no phone number with it.

When I was applying I gave them my PAC code because I want to keep my old phone number (the one I had with O2).

When will my phone number be switched and when will the sim be activated. Thanks

Porting you're number usually takes a working day to be completed. Any request made after 5pm is received until the following working day, so can take an extra 24 hours. If you'd like us to check this and give you a more accurate time frame for your number to be transferred to our network, pop us a message through Facebook at Vodafone UK, or on Twitter using the handle @VodafoneUK and we'll be happy to take a look 👀

As you gave your PAC when applying the SIM won't have a temporary number, the SIM will activate when your O2 number is ported over probably late tomorrow afternoon.  Until the number is ported you won't be without service and can continue to use your O2 SIM.

Welcome To Vodafone 

When the number moves you will get a text confirmation and a prompt to download the data settings and you will then be ready to enjoy using Vodafone.

When you inserted the sim card does it show the Vodafone Logo in the phone's status bar at the top @Jay12345

There is no logo being shown however it shows there is 4bar connection

I'm sure this will clear up.

Sometimes turning the phone Off and On helps refresh the network connection or go I to the phone's connection settings and choose another network if it let's you and then re choose Vodafone.

Would you update the thread on how you get on ?
