I upgraded my plan using my Vodafone app a few days ago. I noticed the plan hadn’t changed the next day and decided to ignore it as it wasn’t a significant issue for me.
I received a text message from Vodafone yesterday:
Hello, we are currently working on your recent request and to complete this you will experience a temporary loss of service. Apologies for the inconvenience caused. Thanks, Vodafone.
I am posting this message at 21:16 on 31 October 2024 and I have had no service since yesterday afternoon!
Vodafone has said
Thanks for passing security 👍 I can see your upgrade order was stuck in an open status but due to the time it has being, it has now cancelled.
Our technology team left a note yesterday advising a cleanse is required. They haven't left an ETA but the usual timescale is 24-48 hours. I know that doesn't help you right now as you need your services. What I can do is set a reminder to keep an eye on your account. As soon as there are any updates, we'll let you know.
I cannot comprehend how an upgrade can be so problematic! I need my service to use my phone! I cannot contact Vodafone as I do not have access to another phone. I am missing important work calls as a result of this. I will be making an official complaint to Vodafone and the ombudsman. This is outrageous.

I totally understand and appreciate how frustrating this must be causing you.
If a soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On does not help then I'd suggest to contact Vodafone via their Live Chat option and or via the Social Media Teams via https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/About-the-Community/Contact-us-about-account-related-queries.
