After updating my Vodafone app, it’s logged me out and I can’t get back into my account on the app or online with my password.
I’ve gone through the “forgotten password” process several times but I am still not receiving an email with a temporary password. I’ve checked my spam/ folder and I’ve even contacted my email provider but no emails. I am receiving emails for my billing and marketing emails from Vodafone but no temporary password emails. I am also receiving texts from Vodafone.
I contacted Vodafone via “chat” and was told I could only reset my password via receiving the email, but as the email isn’t getting to me I’m now stuck not being able to access my account. Surely there is another way to reset the password on my account.
My email and mobile number has not changed and I’ve had both for over 20 years! So that is not the problem. I have seen some other people post about the same issue, but can’t see any resolution.
Solved! Go to best answer.

Just finished the chat. Apparently, the issue is on their end, and they’re working to resolve it.

I have this same problem, do you know if they have resolved this yet - thanks.

Emails are not case sensitive so I don’t think this is the issue.

Thank you for updating us @Jdh8uk, I'm glad to hear the issue been resolved for you and we will pass your feedback to the team.

Hi Tal, Vodafone need to modify the email so that there is no mention of password, reset and similar keywords that the mail servers think is spam, then the email will not be deleted by the server. You could even put the password which is simple text as the title of the email and leave the body of the email blank. Should be a 10 minute job for the software team to modify this.

Issue is still not resolved for me!! It’s now over a week, and I still have no access to my account due to the issue of not receiving the temporary password email. This is getting a joke now. I’m now ready to leave vodafone and find a supplier who takes customers seriously.

Hi no_mms, I feel your pain. I was lucky in that since I use mail forwarding I was able to redirect the mail through 3 different mail servers, Outlook, Yahoo and GMail. Only GMail worked for me and the other 2 removed the mail using their spam filters. So, I don’t think you will ever receive it unless Vodafone change the wording in the email and I wouldn’t hold your breath that they will do that.

Outlook and Yahoo Mail both have adjustable spam filtering rules.

Do the spam filters work at the server end or the client end as there is nothing in the Spam/Junk folders for both Outlook and Yahoo?

I believe that they work at the server end.

Thanks. I tried mail forwarding to gmail this morning. Still no email when I tried the reset from my phone, and when I tried from a laptop I had a Vodafone error message “page under maintenance”. So will try again tomorrow.
