OneNumber for a Car

I have a new BWM with eSIM which in Germany can be connected with OneNumber. Is there any plan for this option to be available in the UK? If so is there a timeframe for when this would be?

Hi @2Dinners. That's a great question! We don't currently have any plans to introduce a OneNumber Connectivity Plan compatible with vehicles. Right now we only support mobile, smartwatch, tablet and Alexa device.

Hi Jason, if we had One Number, could we have the eSIM attached to our phone and use the nano sim in a sim reader which connects to the bmw

I did that, changed my phone to eSIM and tried the nano card in the bmw sim reader, but no luck. As I understand it when you change the phone to eSIM it disables the nano card. ☹️

What have you ended up doing, a separate contract did that work if so?

keep reading different things that it should be data only and then some say a standard sim only with mins txt and data works

Unfortunately have found a way to get either the bmw sim reader or eSIM in the car to work as yet.
