Porting existing number

Hi  I am having an absolute nightmare with Vodafone. I called a week ago to port my pay as you go number over to a monthly contract. I was told that it would take 24hrs. I have called several times over the course of the week only to find various excuses (wasn’t submitted properly, cut off time, porting team not in, escalated etc.) all an absolute load of rubbish. I have been in limbo for a week now, I think they might have deleted my number by accident or something. Everytime I call they say will be next 24 hours but nothing happens. Anyone know how I can get out of this situation?
