One week ago I initiated a switch from VodaFone to Smarty and I supplied Smarty with the PAC code I was given by Vodafone. The port in to Smarty is only partially working. Vodafone have advised me by phone that the only thing they are required to do is give the PAC code and the new provider does the rest.
I can call out from my Smarty sim using my old number but I am unable to receive calls or receive/send sms texts. Smarty have advised they are waiting on files from Vodafone to complete the transfer.
Smarty have now told me "Upon reviewing your account, I can see your port-in from Vodafone is currently delayed as we are still awaiting to receive the relevant files from Vodafone in order to complete the port.
Our Customer Support team have correctly raised the issue with our networking team who are liaising with Vodafone in order to try to obtain the missing files as soon as possible.
At the moment, I’m afraid we don’t have any updates to provide you with, but as soon as there is one, I will update you. We are relying on Vodafone to communicate with us and provide us with the missing files at the moment – the problem does not lie at our end.
I do apologise for the inconvenience caused and completely understand the level of frustration this is causing. I can assure you though that we are working hard to try to obtain the missing files in order to complete your transfer as soon as possible."
I have telephoned Vodafone three times now and have been advised by the service agent who liaised with the porting team that there are no files to be sent...
Help!
Many thanks

Smarty are now your provider @nomadspike and they are responsible for any porting issues.
Smarty will need to raise a split port issue with Vodafone on your behalf and make sure your number your service is fully on the network and all porting files are correct. From what you have written this has been done. It certainly is not something you should need to raise with Vodafone.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I understand that Smarty has raised a split port issue with Vodafone but I can not understand why it is taking this long for Vodafone to send the correct files needed to complete the port in on my account with Smarty. I was hoping someone from Vodafone could shed some light on the process and explain the delay.
