We have had a vodafone account for 10 years but we were told two monthsago it was set up wrong and should have been a business account.  We are in the process of transferring the account to a business account (the direct debit will be with the same account).  I have heard a rumour that post the transfer you cannot upgrade for 3 months is this correct?

According to this link Transfer your number agreement @Granicus1967  with Vodafone's clear 3 month payment rule, that is correct for personal and can only assume this will be the same when transferring to a business account.

To be on the safe side, get the upgrade done before making the transfer, when completed at least you will have a good device.

Thank you for the reply.

Unfortunately, because the payment is made from a business account (& has always been) it is flagged up so its not possible to upgrade before the transfer.  Im wondering if i can talk to customer services?

The biggest problem you are going to have upgrading @Granicus1967  is going to be the credit check, with the new Evo contracts here Evo  the device part of the contract is a credit agreement and will be reported against your credit file as a loan.  Vodafone would be competing a hard credit check as a personal customer against a company name with the direct debit coming from a company account.

Just checked and business offer Evo for sole trader and a range of tailored plans for other companies here: Evo Business
