Receiving a call when abroard

On the Roaming Charge Checker for the USA it says: It's always free to receive standard rate calls and texts.

Does this mean I could answer a call from a UK landline or mobile without the daily roaming charge being activated?

Yes @jimbomac it's always free to receive calls when roaming, unless you are on one of the inclusive plans listed here: Charge Checker - Roaming the £6.00 daily charge will only be activated for any outgoing activity.

Just make sure you have turned off your data roaming and mobile data, otherwise the phone will make a connection to the internet and this will be outgoing.
