Receiving sms and OTP whilst in Vietnam

I Will be travelling to Vietnam on a pay monthly contract, Will I be charged for receiving SMS and to receive OTP from the UK to my Vodaphone UK Sim. I'm also planning on having a Vietnamese eSIM for data usage?

Do I need to turn my phone to off for data roaming and also mobile roaming. 

is receiving a UK call to your phone whilst in Vietnam free or does this trigger the daily charge?

It won't cost anything for you to receive a call or text from a standard UK number. However, it's important to be aware that if you don't disable 'data roaming' there's a risk of you being charged the daily roaming fee, which you can find out more about here.
