Sim in a laptop

I have been using a Vodafone SIM in my laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad) for some months now, being able to connect to the interned via 4G mobile data (the laptop has a cellular modem built in). Unfortunately today I noticed that my laptop does not connect to Vodafone network. I tried to configure APN again, however without success. When I put the same SIM card into a tablet it works without a problem. Has using laptops been somehow blocked by Vodafone or should I blame my laptop?

The mystery solved.

I also searched on Lenovo forum and this happened to a lot of users at the same time. A new power management driver kept disconnecting the modem. Reinstalling older version of the driver solved the problem.

Thank you everyone for looking at it.

Not that I've come across  @mar_lon

Is it possible a new software update on the laptop is causing this or perhaps a permission that needs adjusting ?

Check any relevant security software on the laptop.

Think about anything that may have recently changed that may have affected the connection and take a good look through the connection settings on the laptop.

Maybe a Google Search may yield further solutions.

I would recommend trying a different SIM in the laptop @mar_lon , this would confirm if it is your laptop or the SIM.  You can order a replacement SIM for the number here: SIM swap

Not sure if this information will help to reconfigure the APN settings: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/cellular-settings-in-windows-905568ff-7f31-3013-efc7-3f3... The APN settings will depend if you are pay monthly or PAYG. See here: APN settings
