Back in December I ordered a new phone, but by mistake I got the wrong version. I tried to ring customer services to change it but after nearly 2 hours on hold I gave up, went to the shop and after another hour of waiting (as well as a couple other issues on their end and generally poor customer service) I thought screw it, I'll just cancel instead. I cancelled less than 2 days after taking out the contract (returning the phone unopened). Well within my 14 day limit.
They tried to bill me for roughly £28 last month, and now I've just had another bill come through!
I know it's the weekend but I really don't have the time to wait hours for someone at CS to answer the phone. I've cancelled the direct debit, and gotten confirmation of my contract being cancelled. Does anyone know if it's safe to just ignore this or do I have to waste half my day doing it again? The only thing I'm worried about is my credit file.
I'm just confused, everything on paper is fully cancelled, I've not had any letters or complaints for them about missing last months payment, but they still keep trying to bill me?
Solved! Go to best answer.

It's better to be safe than sorry.
Perhaps engage with the Vodafone Social Media Team's Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries if you don't wa t to go through 191 or Live Chat.
