Can anyone advise?
My phone for some reason will not connect to the Vodafone services. It's showing emergency calls only! I've contacted vodafone using Tobi and we did run through what could be causing it.
I've turned phone off and back on and still nothing, I've taken my sim out of my phone and put it in my husbands phone and it works on his phone, yet when I put his sim in my phone it doesn't work.
I've said this to the advisor and they say there is a mast down, this baffled me as my husband who is literally sat next to me and is on the same network can get network coverage and connected with 4G, it's just mine that wont. I've tried to search for networks and select the vodafone UK and it will not connect to it at all.
I searched on vodafone network coverage and it's showing there is no issues at all so I'm not sure what the agent is referring to but I'm at a loss as to why the sim won't connect to the services.
Please help!

Who supplied the phone to you @Leanne1991 ?
Is the Vodafone name shown at the top in the status bar ?

Hi @Leanne1991 If the your SIM is working in another phone, and someone else's working SIM doesn't work in your phone, this suggests there may be an issue with the phone itself. First, I'd recommend checking the SIM tray and making sure it's clear of debris etc. If still no luck, please pop into a Vodafone store where one of technicians can look it over.

Hi @Janey thank you for your reply, phone is only a month old and been in a case. I have checked the SIM tray and its clear of debris.
I had a similar problem before few years back and when I contacted vodafone through the chat they sent the setting through the chat and got it working again. I might be reaching here but I do recall seeing a notification on this phone about the sim set up, but I accidentally cleared it as I'm still getting used to the phone, not sure if that's the case?

Thanks for confirming @Leanne1991 I think it'd best if one of the store team take a closer look and they'll take a closer look.

Hi @BandOfBrothers thank you for your reply, it was vodafone who supplied the phone to me as it was an upgrade. Phone is only around a month old.
No the vodafone name isn't showing at the top it just says emergency calls only.

This then sounds like the phone has been imei blocked.
Can you get to a Vodafone Store for them to take a look.

Only the network can block a phone. It might be an accidental block that needs reversing or the phone is faulty.

Hi @BandOfBrothers I've contacted vodafone again through Tobi and they said there is no blocks or anything on the phone or account and everything is working as it should be, so not sure it's the phone.
