Subscription Scam

I was awaken at 5.30 this morning by a text message saying I had subscribed to something and it was £4.50 per week. I have never subscribed to anything on my phone and even have a bar to stop this.

Just checked my account and £4.50 has been added to my bill.

I don't want to send 'Stop' only to end up being charged even more or on some kind of scammer list and this happen again.

So, will the amount be removed from my bill seeing as I have a bar and this shouldn't happen.

As it is somewhat complex here, perhaps due to the fact that Vodafone also make money from these subscriptions, I recommend people take a look at money saving expert dot com and look at the forums. There is a forum dedicated to bounce dot mobi PM-Connect and you will see a lot of people have made use of the documents and successfully recovered money from Bounce / PM Connect.

If you google money saving expert bounce pm connect you will find it pretty easily.

I am livid as have over £500 of charges for Demon Games subscription which I never signed up for it. I have been in touch with DemonGames and they have offered me an insulting £12 credit!

My charges go back to 2019! I do not understand how Vodafone can partner with these companies  and allow their customers to be scammed in this way. They say i subscribed to £3 per week being £12.00 a month, Some months I have been charged £20.20 for a gaming app I don't use, don't want and certainly would never have subscribed.

Vodafone are  making immense amounts of money from their loyal customers with this. I am LIVID and am contacting the PSA, Watchdog and MoneySaving Expert immediately.

If you google money saving expert bounce pm connect you will find a forum and you will able to send me a message with your email address. I will email you copies of letters you can use to commence the claim process from them and a copy of court papers you will need to file. Unfortunately they always offer a lowball amount initially but pay up when served court papers. They then pay in full including the court fee and interest. RGW

Hi. The same thing has happened to me. My 10½yr old daughter must have clicked on something and accidentally subscribed to Fuse Forge games. I have only just noticed yesterday when I went to upgrade her plan. This has been going on since Oct 27, 2021 and totals to 92 weekly payments of £4.50 totaling £412. Vodafone have now put a bar on the accout so no other charges can be made and I got my daughter to reply STOP to the text. She's never taken any notice of the texts so it went unnoticed for a long period of time. I have tried calling the company but you end up being cut off. I have now emailed them and we'll see if they refund me. Vodafone said they can't refund me as it's not their responsibility it's up to me and the 3rd part company. Checking Trust Pilot reviews it would appear to be nothing more than a legal scam designed to trick children into signing up for subscriptions that they will never use.
