Taking Money Off Me For NO Services

So I took out an Apple Watch Plan two years ago. I have now paid off the Apple Watch over 24 months. but somehow im meant to request a cancellation otherwise Vodafone will keep taking £30 off me every month.

I understand if this was a line contract but they are simply taking £30 off me for absolutely no reason. I have paid for my product why should i have to cancel a contract to stop payments? It’s absolutely obsurd. In essence until i request a cancellation they can take 1000’s of pounds off me over months and months for no service what so ever…

Hey there @Kanow87 👋 thanks for reaching out to us.

We don't automatically cancel contracts and the account holder would need to request this - you can find more information about the process on our Leaving Vodafone help page. Providing cancellation notice is part of the terms and conditions that you agreed to when you took out the contract and these would also have been emailed to you.

All you need to do is contact us on 191 from a Vodafone phone or 03333 040 191 from a landline and we'll be able to talk it through with you 🙂

If Vodafone simply disconnected their customers at the end of any minimum term, there would be a lot of annoyed customers who'd have lost their phone numbers. So, things continue on a month to month basis until you cancel or port out.

But its just an Apple Watch with no number… Same with IPads…

Hi @Kanow87

If you have cancelled your main contract, you will no longer be able to able to use data, make calls etc on the watch.  It sounds like you need to cancel your One Number subscription, this has to be processed through the Cancellation Team, follow this link and they will make sure everything is cancelled.  How do I stop paying to share my plan to another device?

Until a service is cancelled via customer request or via a disconnection for reasons such as none payment, you are liable to continue paying the contracted amount each month as you will still have an active service with the network. It doesn't matter what service you have, whether it is an iPad, a phone, a watch or home broadband, we treat them all exactly the same and we don't automatically disconnect you because you have reached the end of your contracted term.
