I went to carphone warehouse to get a new phone as mine had broke, they kept my same contract with 02, however gave me a phone contract with Vodafone. I never realised this as I thought it be all one contract with 02. Vodafone was set up coming from my bank and I was unaware I was paying to two different company’s.
I cancelled Vodafone as I didn’t know why they were taking money from my bank.
I never heard anything from Vodafone to say I had a contract with them or I had missed payments with them.
I then received a letter to say I was in debt of £468.81 and they was sending it to Capital Resolve.
I immediately paid it all off and the account was closed.
vodafone now saying that I knew about it and the credit file team say I knew about it when I didn’t.
i really need help as I’m now 26 and trying to get a mortgage and this won’t happen with a error with Vodafone with a default on my file.
many thanks
tom

As we don't have access to your account on the Community, there isn't a lot we can advise in general without taking a closer look into your account. You can contact our Credit File Support team regarding your concerns by completing this online form.
