Trade In Discount

I am supposed to get £4 off my monthly contract by trading in my old iPhone 8 but when I completed the trade in tool I was told that I would be getting £75 for it, not bad but not what I was promised. Why am I getting half as much as I was promised and am I going to have to talk to customer support again to sort this out?

Did they reassess the phone after it was sent in perhaps ?

Customer services and the Vodafone Social Media Team's all have account access but not via the forum so yes you'll need to engage with them again to get clarification @NotMyRealName

No, I haven't sent the phone in yet. I just filled out the online trade-in tool and there was no option anywhere to say that I had been promised a discount.

Ok @NotMyRealName

Do re check out the vodafone-trade-in faqs  and liase with the relevant department.

Yeah ok so all the FAQs assume that I was given the option to take a discount on my new monthly deal and that just did not happen so I guess I'll just take the 50% less than I was offered and avoid the threat of getting nothing from it and move on. Cheers for the help.

I don't see why you should take 50% less than you were offered @NotMyRealName

Looking back on your previous thread, you took a new contract rather than an upgrade and had quite a number of problems moving your number, I am just wondering if that is part of the reason.

I would recommend sending the Social Team a message, they will be able to look into this for you and address and other problems at the same time here: Contact Us

I don't see why I can't just tell someone my IEMI number and they just take £4 off per month once my phone gets to them but I don't even really care anymore
