Don't upgrade with CPW @Jacko81 , go for a new contract and transfer your number to the new contract, this will save you a lot of money.  To transfer the number just PAC out the number you wish to keep by text to any other network on PAYG by following this information here: Cancellation , when the number moves repeat the process and port back in on the new CPW contract.  You continue to use the same online account.

As far as the early termination charge of £69 is concerned, this will be on the final bill and taken by direct debit, most of the information on the the link above.   When you move the number the following bill will be very different, you will have the ETF, and pro rata billing for the number change, there may also be a credit.  When you check the data it should make more sense.

The other alternative is to wait until you are out of contract and speak directly to Vodafone and see what they can offer.
