Using Data in USA

I go to New york for 3 nights starting Monday morning. I'm obviously aware to turn Data off before my flight and not touch it during the flight and when I am in New York, to turn on data roaming on before turning data on.

I used the roaming charge checker site from Vodafone to see how much it will cost and saw that in my plan, it will be about £7.30 per day at a 25GB limit. I am fine paying this but is there anything specific I need to do befire leaving/avoid doing while there so that there are no additional charges?

I plan not to send/receive a single text or phone call, only to use data occasionally so I will not get close to using 25GB. So is it just a matter of turning data roaming and mobile data simultaneously on and off when I'm using it and finished using it?

If you are paying the daily charge anyway, I wouldn't worry about turning data off and on again when you need it. You aren't going to use 25GB with casual use, and then you are connected all the time.
