Why Vodafone doesn't prioritize the old orders ?

I have ordered a Iphone 14 pro max 256 purple on 09/01/23 at 1 am. I received the confirmation for the same at 8.30 a.m. The expected date of delivery for the order was 4-6 days. Later that same day, the website showed next day delivery for the same phone. The customer care on live chat told that the order will be dispatched in 24-48 hours. But nothing. When I contacted the social media team, the asked me to wait another 24-48 hours. What's happening here ? Even appledotcom and amazon offering next day delivery. Why don't Vodafone prioritize the customers who have placed their order early?? They are giving away the phones for new order with premium slots. This is unfair.

Hi @Doctoramazing. It's disappointing to see your comments, concerns and feedback. Purchasing a new phone should be an exciting and smooth journey. This isn't the experience we wanted you to have. 

Generally speaking, if your chosen phone make, model and colour isn't in stock for next day delivery, rest assured that we'll be doing everything we can to get your new device to you as soon as possible. Your order will be dispatched once we have enough stock to cover customers ahead of you.

Although we'll keep you posted and up-to-date via text message and/or email, you can also head over to our Order Tracker tool online for the latest information. 

As we don't have account access via the Community, we would be unable to take a closer look into the current status of your iPhone order. I completely take on board that you've already contacted our Social Media team for an update, but if worst-case scenario you've still not received any follow-up communication regarding your order after the advised time frame, I would recommend reaching out to our Social Media team again.

I have contacted the social media team again for an update. They are giving the same vague answers . Why?? Am I wrong here ?
