Vodafone won't allow you to downgrade a plan and pay less for a contract you have to keep to the agreement. You would have had 14 days to try the service and would have been able to cancel during this time if you were not satisfied.
You don't mention the reason you are not satisfied with the unlimited plan, if you were already a customer you would have already been aware of the coverage and speed. The unlimited max plan offers faster speed than the lite.
