hi there i paid some money of my bill which left half to pay on the 18th 10/22 by direct debit you say i have paid but my bank says no direct debit taken from my account 🤔🤔

Yes @phionex99 , you are correct to question this.

 

It can take a bank around 14 working days to set up a direct debit mandate and sometimes it is necessary to pay the first bill manually.  If the direct debit date is the 18th, you can expect the payment to be collected on the18th or just after and you may well find the transaction completes by tomorrow morning.

 

The best place to check is there is anything owing on the account is from your online account or application.  You should also be able to check your direct debit information from there.

 

When you pay a bill manually with a direct debit instruction in place, this needs to be completed at least 7 working days before the money is taken from the Bank, if you leave it any later the direct debit will be active and there won't be anything Vodafone would be able to do to stop the full amount leaving your Bank.

vodafone have said nothing owing will keep an eye on my bank account the money is there no probs just dont want any late payments as it is not my mistake
