I originally purchased my iphone 7 form Carphone warehouse however, my network is Vodafone. I am deeply frustrated to find that Vodafone will not unlock my phone or provide me with an NUC. Surely after having been with Vodaphone for at least 17 years I deserve better service! (btw, I have now left Vodafone!!!!) Please please help me unlock my phone or advise me who to speak to so that this can be done. I am being held ransom by Vodafone!

Are you definitely sure your iPhone is locked @djwhiteley
Carphone stopped auto locking iPhone's to the 1st sim inserted a long time ago.
When you insert a non Vodafone sim card that's activated what happens ? Also try hooking upto iTunes.
If your phone is definitely locked to Vodafone then you should be able to use the Nuc request form and Vodafone will then ask Apple to release the iPhone from it's locked status.
It can take around 30 days sometimes for Apple to do this after being asked by Vodafone.
However you need to get Vodafone to get to that stage.
If Vodafone have refused to unlock then what reason have they given ?
If you refute the reason then have a word with the Vodafone Social Media Team's via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries and or fill out the Complaints/code-of-practice form.

Yes I have tried another Sim and it comes up with an error message saying this sim is not supported.

Thanks for getting in touch about unlocking your device IMEI . Unfortunately, we couldn't proceed because the IMEI number provided was not originally supplied by Vodafone.

I'm sorry to hear you're having some issues getting your iPhone unlocked @djwhiteley
@BandOfBrothers is right that usually iPhone's are supplied unlocked.
Did you request your code via the online form? I'll need to take a look at your account and check what's going on with your request. Please come and chat to us on Social Media 🙂

We've seen replies like this from Vodafone to people trying to unlock their phone's before @djwhiteley
As Carphone Warehouse are unable to unlock a phone it has to be Vodafone who request this to Apple so please do persevere with contacting Vodafone.
I know you've sent a message to the Social Media Team's so please be a little more patient and they'll get to your message.
I have come across others who have as a last resort used a Highstreet Store that advertises they unlock phone's or used a reputable online unlocking site.
Unfortunately that route dies cone with a fee charged by the site or Highstreet Store.
