Hi,

 

I filled in the form for my NUC tonight and less than two hours later Vodafone emailed me me with the code. So far so good.

 

But, unfortunately, no instructions, no box comes up on these phones asking for the code bit just sits there saying SIM BLOCKED.

 

Anyway,  I found a solution and am posting it here in case it helps others in the future.

 

Instructions: 

 

- Turn off your phone.
- Insert non accepted network Sim Card.
- Turn on your phone.
- To unlock the phone, you will have to enter the following sequence.
- Enter #7525#unlocking_code#1# and then reboot your phone.
- Now Your phone is Unlocked.

Your instructions for the alternative method are clear.
But I do not understand this step:

 Enter #7525#unlocking_code#1# and then reboot your phone.

 

When I enter the unlocking-code and the resat of the tags... how do I reboot?
When I take out the battery and insert again and start up nothing happens.

Please advice.

After you've entered #7525#unlocking_code#1# does anything happen or not? If not, could you please try holding in the red 'phone down' button in for a few seconds after entering the code and see if this helps? Let us know how you get on!

following your instructions... when holding down the red button the phone more or less immediately starts to switch off and switch on again... thus reboot.

The problem remains the same: sim blocked.

Hi @Marinus2000 do you see any acceptance message after entering the code? I do believe the best option now if you are still having difficulties is to escalate this with our NUC team just in case there is an issue with the code you have been given, for us to do this can you contact the team here and we will be able to raise this with the relevant team.
