iPhone 12 Mini Unlocked?

Evening all

Are iPhones on Vodafone unlocked right away now, I know the used to be locked and you had to wait 3 months before requesting an unlock but not sure if they are now unlocked out of the box?

From unlock-code-request which is Vodafone's Unlocking Official Page…

“ Good news - many of our devices, including all Apple products, are already unlocked. Just insert a SIM from another network and you should be ready to go. “

Ofcom are bringing in the requirement that phones are locked from out of the box from December 21 so Vodafone are acting now.

ofcom.org.uk/mobile-firms-banned-from-selling-locked-handsets. 

To add if a phone is presently locked to Vodafone then Vodafone have removed the requirement to have to wait 30 days from ownership before being able to unlock.

There will be 2 requirements to Unlock a phone via Vodafone UK .: 
• The device was purchased from Vodafone
• The device is not currently blacklisted.
All other requirements will be removed.
