Hi,

I received an unlock code but it does not work. I can confirm IMEI is correct. What should I do next?

Hi @shiys1987

What model of phone are you unlocking please ?

I ask as some Samsung phones for example also need a MCK Mastercode also known as an unfreeze code as well as the Nuc.

The Vodafone Social Media Teams can supply this.

Also a person needs to be in the UK and using an activated alternative network sim card i.e connects to mobile data etc.

If needed please contact the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries and they'll have the Nuc checked.

hi, I am having a Sony Xperia L1

Thanks for you reply. Does it work if I have WiFi but not mobile data? I have tried five times now and it does not work. Do you have any suggestions?

The alternative sim card i.e the non Vodafone sim card needs activating so the process completes.

This is best achieved using mobile data.

Hi @shiys1987

There have been a lot of issues on the forum with unlocking a Sony phone. when you insert the alternative SIM try typing in the IMEI number of the phone followed by the unlock code provided by Vodafone.

You can find the IMEI number by tying *#06# or by going to about phone, make a note of the number.

If you continue to have issues follow this link for direct help and support from the Social Media Team through Facebook or Twitter Contact Us

Thanks for your reply. I just tried to type in IMEI number + unlock code and it did not work. Also, the number of attempts is zero. What should I do?

If the number of attempts is 0 then the phone is most probably hardlocked so it's counter will then need resetting before you can try the Nuc again.

This means the phone has to be sent away by Vodafone but unfortunately all the Vodafone Highstreet Stores are temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic @shiys1987
