Suresignal Broken and needs resynch

Hi

 

I have gone thru the troubleshooting guides. Tried resetting the box etc but I do not get the normal lights showing - just the power light.

 

I need this resynching please. I have no phone signal at all so messaging will not get to me.

This makes no sense what so ever the fact that a traceroute cannot see the servers does not indicate a fault with the Sure Signal. It infact indicates an issue between the customers router and the vodafone servers. I also ran a tracetoute and could not reach the vodafone servers. This tends to point towards the Vodafone network being faulty.

 

Can you please continue to look into the fault as it is affecting me also and if a solution is not swift in coming I will have to move my two phones off the VF network as the coverage in my house in North London is terrible.

In sheer frustration I rang tech support at Vodafone and was told that many customers are affected by a problem at Vodafone end for SureSignal and that I just have to wait so I am perplexed that this forum does not know that fact.

 

My Suresignal box is now showing (v1) a steady green on light one, l2 off, l3 off, l4 flashing green. I still have no access and am waiting for Vodafone to fix their issue which is escalated to the the very highest priority.

 

This is probably why tracert does not work - basically the vodafone servers are not on the internet.

Has it worked before, on Sharedband?

Yes its been working for years (with occasional outages). For me the key is that a tracert to the vodafone servers fails from every location (5) I have tested. Vodafone had told me they have a problem with their network which is their top priority to fix. I think it only affects generation 1 boxes

Yes I a m still having the same problem. TRACERT still fails. Just 1st light on SureSignal box. 4th flashes when iPhone is turned on.

It has been suggested the problem is the SureSignal box which I doubt. I will pay for a new one if it is definitely the SureSignal is faulty. If I can have a new one on trial and it works then no problem I will pay for it.

It does sound like it's faulty. I'd recommend a repair.

You do have a 14 day cooling off period in which to return the Sure Signal for a full refund, if you're not happy with is.

OK that is what I have done. Hopefully the new one will work but Im not holding my breath.

 

Tell me do the SureSignal v1 and v3 have different connection methods?
