Hi all,
Having finally been able to get Virgin Media to set up our Super Hub to enable our Sure Signal box to work (after having it nearly a year) I wanted to post a step by step guide as to how it's done. Hope it helps.
2. Scroll down the page to DHCP reservation and click on it
3. Find your Vodafone Sure Signal Box from the connected hardware listed and click on it. You can identify the box from the MAC numbers listed in the second column, by checking for the MAC number listed on the back of the Sure Signal box.
This will put the details in the “Add reservation” section – just click the “Add Reservation” button and you’ve assigned your Sure Signal box it’s static IP address. Be sure to note down the last digit as this is essential to the port opening process. The Sure Signal Box will now show up in the IP lease table as “Reserved”
4. Go back to the Advanced menu and navigate to “Port Forwarding” under Security.
Then, using the final digit of the IP address, you add a rule for EACH port that requires opening, as in the example. Once you’ve added them all, click the Apply button at the bottom.
5. Go back to the Advanced settings page and navigate back to DHCP reservation and check the IP address for your Sure Signal box is still listed as reserved. The go back again to Advanced settings and into Port Forwarding and check all of your rules are listed.
Your Sure Signal box is now set up with the necessary ports opened and should be fully functioning.
If this helps you I would appreciate you giving Kudos.
Dave.
