Can someone tell me, if I have to reset and erase my iPhone back to factory settings will I have to get a new e-sim or is there a way to preserve the old one?

It gives you the similar options to the Apple Watch.
Erase
Erase incl Data Plans

I entered DFU/Recovery Mode to restore back to a previous version of iOS and it was fine. As long as you chose the right option you’ll be OK.

As long as you don’t remove it when you reset it will stay on the phone.

Thank you. Does it ask if you want to save the data plan like it does when you unpair the Apple watch? A bit nervous about wiping the phone it took quite a while to get the QR code when I set it up.

Does anybody know, I have set up my e-sim and it is working fine, if I keep the QR code I got with the email can I reinstall the e-sim with it if I accidentally erase the working e-sim as long as it is the same phone? Or is it a one off ?

Dunno... with O2 as long as it’s the same device it works up to 5 times.
