HUAWEI P30 lite only to add files from PC

I am struggling to add my files from PC to my HUAWEI. When I plug in the USB from phone to PC, all it does is charge phone, no option to choose to transfer files like it used you ? I have music on the PC waiting to be loaded on.

I have changed USB cable but still same issue. I even removed excess dust from the USB port, still same issue.

There is an option I found on google about going into the Developer settings but i am so afraid of using it as it may void warranty. I am due to upgrade any way in July, if it doesn't solve I will have an early upgrade.

If you have followed the guide here: Transfer files between computer and your Huawei P30 lite Android 9.0 without success contact Huawei Support here : Huawei Support and they will be able to give help and advise.

It may also be worth checking for any software update from the phone.

I've always used file manager apps to transfer files over a shared wifi network.   My current one is File Manager+.

You'll need a shared drive or folder on the PC and you simply use the PC's login to access it from the phone.
