I used to have an Idea Sim few years ago changed because airtel was giving better connection quality. But the thing is I'm In desperate need of that old number (I forgot my number). So can I ask them what number I used to have by giving them my aadhar information or whatever they need. Will they tell me this information or will it be considered a Breach of privacy or whatever?

Was your number a UK number? I can see Airtel is an international network provider. You wouldn't be able to bring a foreign number into the UK. 

 

If you haven't used the number in some time it will likely be disconnected due to inactivity and won't be retrievable. But you could always try.
