Spent 3 hours on live chat the other day. Vodafone checked settings then agreed to get replacement sim. Still getting "multimedia not supported by network" messages. Can anyone suggest how to fix this? I have Samsung S10+

Sometimes Vodafone need to provision the account to work with MMS.

Customer services on 191 or Live Chat need to do this.

The service also needs a good stable 3G data connection and it costs to send MMS Messages.

This is why I use Facebook Messenger,  WhatsApp and email as viable alternatives @catboys

Also in your phone launch your messages app > Tap on the 3 little dots in theTop Rh corner > Settings > More Settings > Multimedia Messages > Have a look at those options.

It won't harm either to check your APN Settings to ensure mms is set up right.

The Phones-devices/Device-help/How-do-I-set-up-my-phone-for-internet-access-and-picture-messaging-MMS.  may help.

As well can the Vodafone Social Media Teams.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

Thanks BoB

I've added new Apn but no difference. I'll keep working through the suggestions

To add to the information already mentioned @catboys

Don't send MMS it is becoming an outdated service, download WhatsApp or a similar application and send MMS messages over mobile data or WiFi.

If you have re started the phone, to test if MMS is working, try sending an MMS to yourself and see if it is received. If this works it may be a problem with the recipient. Unless you are pay monthly with an MMS extra here Vodafone Extras MMS will be chargeable.  Check you don't have spend manager active set at zero this will prevent you incurring any extra charges.  Also check your bars through your online account, there is a restriction bar for MMS.

It would also be worth taking a look at device guides to see if there is anything that will help here Device Guides

@catboys Make sure you have power saver turned off, this would prevent you sending MMS.  Restart the phone after adding a new APN.

Hi, Thanks for the advice. Generally I use Messenger and occasionally WhatsApp  but sometimes I need mms. I still need to check any bars.
