Motorola Moto G82 5G support WiFi calling

Does the Motorola Moto G82 5G support WiFi calling with Vodafone please? It's not on the list (Data Calling – make calls without signal | Vodafone) but it is a new phone so I am seeking confirmation before buying.

I have just bought a G82 5G and it works with Vodafone UK WiFi calling fine.

Still not on list but it works.

Put airplane mode on , turned Wifi on and made a call.

I bought a g82 fr my wife as the literature said it had WiFi calling but found it did not work on vodafone (there wasnt even the option to turn on).  I took the phone back to John Lewis and got a refund!

It works fine.

You need to enable it in your vodafone account(so i guess it could depend what account you have)  and phone.

My phone, you can see the Wifi calling status icon top right next to the wifi signal.

Been working very well, clear calls.

5 months have gone by since my original post. I've recently spent another tranche of time looking at options. The very useful GSM Arena web site lets you filter by many criteria. 69 phones meet my requirements and disappointingly, only 4 are on the Vodafone list.  2 of these are not the most recent models, which cuts it down to one manufacturer - Samsung. 

I appreciate there are a huge number of phones with new ones appearing frequently but Vodafone's list of supported phones (https://www.vodafone.co.uk/network/calling-features/wi-fi-calling) just doesn't help. Two people in this post have shown that this model  that is NOT on the list can work with the technology. Do I gamble and follow them or wait longer. I have little faith in the list being made up to date and comprehensive. Out of curiosity, I looked at the first dozen phones listed on the "Pay Monthly Phones" page and only about half are on the list!

It works on my g82 5G with uk vodafone absolutely fine as i said above.

I had no signal where i was last week and all calls went through wifi fine.

Just enabled it on my account and on my phone. , Its automatic so it selects either wifi or network depending on quality  of either.

I have a feeling that one department of vodafone is not talking to another department.

I would go for it.

Thanks NigalHead. My Moto G82 5G arrived today and yes, I got Wi-Fi calling to work easily with my Vodafone SIM. Thanks for giving me the confidence to ignore Vodafone's list of supported phones and buy the phone I really wanted.

Hello,

I posted a while ago that my gorgeous wife's Moto G82 5G was not working for WiFi calling.

Yet it was enabled on her account.

Her phone was recently given an Android 12 update, and then the option for WiFi calling appeared.

And now it works well for calls and text messages on WiFi. 😀

Good stuff - everyone's happy! The list being well behind current phone offerings helps no-one. Come on Vodafone!
