I've just received a text, which looks like it was from Vodafone, saying that somebody else has added a device to my account and to click a remove a device link if that wasn't me. How do I know that was genuine? I don't want to click an unsafe link, but if someone else has added their device, then that's worrying. Vodafone are closed so can't call them. Thanks for any help you can give me.

This is a phishing text @mollymoonbeam , it has been sent from a mobile number. Santander give this advise: Santander
I had one the other week and I don't even have an account with Santander.
Mark the text as SPAM and forward to 7726 with the number. The more people who report these SPAM text the better.

I wonder if this be your could be your WiFi connection @mollymoonbeam ? It's certainly is a strange one but you are correct not to click on a suspect phishing link. This definitely needs live chat or Customer Service intervention, you can also send the Social Team a message here: Contact Us
The numbers Vodafone use are here: Is it Vodafone calling?

Thanks so much. I realised this was about Santander Bank, it had just come via my Vodafone number, and I (think) it was saying that this person has been added as a new payment recipient on my account. It's not very clear, but I'm going to call Santander now and contact Vodafone afterwards. Thanks for your help!

Thanks. I was confused because it mentioned Santander and then mentioned that another device had been added onto my account. Santander confirmed that it's just a scam.
