Change of sim

I changed over to Vodafone on Friday from I'd mobile as said it would take a few days. I had a message from my old network saying they have received switch request. I put my new sim in today and the Internet js working.  It is sending texts slowly but not getting any reply 

Why is this?

The first thing to do is make sure you have the correct message centre number @Rachel22 , this should be  +447785016005 . According to this link Vodafone would send a text notification to let you know the number was fully ported but if there are any further problems, the Social Team are online to help and they can be contacted by following this link: Contact Us
