Receiving calls from random people on S9 because I have called them (when I haven't)

I keep getting people calling my phone saying that I have called them. There is NOTHING in my call history that suggests I call them. I have received 10 calls from different numbers today. They are all just normal people.

Why and how is my phone calling random numbers without it even being recorded on my phone?

As most CLI spoofing is done using VOIP, Vodafone can't be held responsible for calls that spoof a Vodafone number. Neither would the account holder, as the billing system would clearly show the call didn't originate from the number spoofed

I've been having exactly the same thing happen to me. It's happened about five times over the last few months. It's very weird and leads to the strangest conversations as you try and explain that you've had your phone on you and have made no calls in the last few hours so it couldn't have been you.
