Samsung A3 2017 VoWiFi

BrianKC

Had a letter saying Vodafone are switching off SureSignal, so to enable VoWiFi...........I have checked and it is enabled in the MyVodafone settings. I have switched on 4G/3G/2G in the phone network settings as suggested elsewhere. But no matter where I look in the phone settings or WiFi settings the option to enable VoWiFi does not show up.

Also tried switching it to flight mode and re-enabling WiFi, makes no difference.

The phone version is A3 2017 SM-320FL with Android 8.0.0, purchased from a Samsung technology distributor.

Any suggestion most welcome !

Hello @BrianKC

There are some troubleshooting tips in Vodafone Calling Over Wi-Fi.

One tip is “ If you can't find how to turn on WiFi calling on your phone, check that it's turned on in your My Vodafone account:

  • My Vodafone > Services and Extras > Calling options
  • My Vodafone app > Manage Bars & Extras > Buy and manage extras > Calling options

Also a Vodafone customer service agent on 191 or Live Chat maybe able to send an OTA configuration to your phone as usually its your sim card that drives this feature to show up in the phone's settings. ”

Edit.

All the devices on this page will support WiFi calling when you buy them directly from us. Please note that phones bought from other UK telecom providers are unlikely to support our WiFi calling, with the exception of iPhones, which should work regardless.
