Had this phone for a while but hardly used. Now everybody wants you to use apps. Trying to get it to work but says it's not connected to network. What do I have to do? Thanks

The best thing is to direct you to device guides @JuliaP

Smart Turbo 7

Providing you have topped up and made some chargeable activity the SIM should still be active on the network, if the SIM hasn't been used for some time it would have been disconnected from the network and you will need a new SIM for here: PAYG

You can also try updating the network on the SIM by completing a manual roam How do I perform a manual roam?

Thanks for the quick response.

Thought it was relatively simple! If can't resolve then could always get a new SIM....

If your phone is not connected to the network, here are some steps you can try:

  1. Check Airplane Mode: Ensure that Airplane Mode is turned off, as it disables all wireless connections.

  2. Enable Mobile Data or Wi-Fi: Make sure either mobile data or Wi-Fi is turned on, depending on your preference and availability.

  3. Restart your Phone: Sometimes, a simple restart can help resolve network connectivity issues.

To resolve the issue of your Smart Turbo 7 not connecting to the network, try these steps:

1. Check your phone's network settings: Ensure mobile data or Wi-Fi is turned on, and the airplane mode is off.

2. Restart your phone: A simple restart can help fix network connectivity problems.

3. Update software: Check for any available system updates and install them. They might include fixes for connectivity issues.

4. Check SIM card: Make sure your SIM card is inserted correctly and is not damaged. Try inserting it into another compatible phone to see if it works.

5. APN settings: Verify the Access Point Name (APN) settings provided by your network carrier. Incorrect APN settings can cause connectivity problems.

6. Reset network settings: If the issue persists, you can try resetting your phone's network settings to default.

If none of these steps work, the phone's hardware might be the issue, and in that case, it's best to contact the manufacturer's support or your network carrier for further assistance. Good luck!
