I'm using my Vodafone sim card in my Redmi phone for 2.5 years now. And for the past couple weeks, I'm not getting 4G network. My internet is running on 'EDGE'.
Then, I switched the sim card to another phone and it starts getting 4G signal. So I thought it's my Redmi phone that's faulty. But no, because I put other sim cards in my phone and guess what? Those sim cards are working perfectly https://omegle.onl/ https://vshare.onl/.
It's just that my Vodafone sim card isn't working in my phone. While that sim card works perfectly in every other phones. And every other sim cards works perfectly in my phone.

When a SIM card has been used in the same phone and starts to get worn it can work perfectly in any other phone but start to do some strange things @khasinteb
I would try doing a manual network scan from the connection settings > connections > networks > manual > select any other network and reselect Vodafone, this will update the SIM on the network. Also see device guides here: Device Guides
If there are still problems try a replacement SIM, the swap my SIM page is undergoing maintenance at the moment but further information here: What is a SIM swap and how long does it take?

Technology can certainly be fickle @khasinteb
If your sim card is working fine in another phone then I see no benefit in going through a sim swap personally.
If you do decide to sim swap then would you please update your thread if this remedies the situation.
You'll probably find that 4G returns as inexplicably as it disappeared.
