Wifi calling - Samsung S20+5G

I am new to Vodafone, and yesterday set up wifi calling on my Samsung S20+5G phone. It was clearly enabled in my Vodafone plan and in Call Settings on my phone, and I could see the reassuring wifi calling icon at the top of my screen, so I was confident everything was OK with it. However, today the icon has disappeared so I have no obvious indication that wifi calling is working, although https://9apps.ooo/  it is still apparently active in my plan and phone. I have had an online chat with someone from Vodafone today but came away with no real resolution. Does anyone know how to get the icon back onto my screen?

could it be the icon only shows when in use ?

As far as I'm aware, wifi calling will only appear be be active when it's needed.   If you have a strong enough mobile signal, it may simply deactivate.

Try putting your phone into airplane mode, but make sure wifi is on.   Does the icon appear then?
